  8.     ami - amiga mail interface
  9.  
  10. SYNOPSIS
  11.     ami [receiver [subject [carbon-copies]]]

  14. DESCRIPTION
  15.     AMI is an interactive program  for  composing,  sending and
  16.     receiving  electronic messages.  AMI uses  standard  system
  17.     editor to write and  edit messages.  Messages are be held in
  18.     system mailbox for future use. 
  19.  
  20.     Incoming mail is stored in the system mailbox for each user.
  21.     This  file  is  named  after  the  user  (depending  of  the
  22.     configuration, usually  AXsh:spool/mail/$USER).  Actual mail
  23.     file  is  always  kept  there  but  mail  uses  user's  home
  24.     directory to save temp files while sending new mail.

  26.     Un*X-style environment system in not implemented yet.

  29.     The   following   command  line  keywords  are  implemented:

  32.     ?,  help        Gives a short internal manual page.
  33.  
  34.     d,  delete        Delete marked message(s). Be carefull
  35.                 with this, there's no way to get deleted
  36.                 messages back.

  38.     g,  give, <RETURN>    Give the marked message(s) (read). Messages
  39.                 can also be read by moving the cursor 
  40.                 to in front of the wanted message and by 
  41.                 pressing RETURN key.

  43.     h,  headers        Update message header list. Not very
  44.                 usefull command in AMI, because the
  45.                 header screen is updated automaticly
  46.                 whenever it's needed. Can be used if
  47.                 used data connection is bad.

  49.     m,  mail <user>        Send mail to specific user.

  51.     q,  quit        Quit, save all (active) messages in .mbox.

  53.     r,  reply        Reply to marked senders (only).
  54.  
  55.     R,  ccreply         Reply to marked senders and all recipients.
  56.  
  57.     r!, reply!        Same as <reply>, but quote original message.
  58.  
  59.     R!, ccreply!        Same as <ccreply>, but quote original message.

  61.     s,  save <file>        Append marked message(s) to <file>.

  63.     x,  exit        Quit, do not change system mailbox.
